About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver the company’s facilities maintenance services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory
  • Travel in a company van to customer sites to maintain commercial properties
  • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment, and grounds
  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance, including unclogging toilets and drains, repairing leaks, and replacing fixtures
  • Perform routine painting and carpentry work to maintain client facilities
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance permitted without a license under state law
  • Complete service and asset inspections
  • Access and complete work orders using a tablet or smartphone
  • Create and submit service reports, quality inspection images, and reports
  • Submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs
  • Obtain materials and supplies needed for tasks
  • Maintain customer relationships and communicate with customers and internal support teams
  • Complete safety and compliance training and attend weekly safety meetings
  • Provide estimates for larger projects and services to onsite customers
  • Complete emergency, preventive, and day-to-day repairs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • HS diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.), or Specialty Floor Care, preferred
  • Two (2) to Five (5) years mechanical experience, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry required; or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
  • Related work experience in one or more of the building trades
  • Applicable certifications and licenses
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, including safety policies and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to present information in individual and small group situations
  • Ability to complete work orders timely and communicate status through designated business processes
  • Ability to operate handheld devices and business systems or document management database software, including Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Word, and Excel
  • Compliance with applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives
  • Knowledge of and compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies
  • Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Daily local travel between properties
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle daily
  • Ability to use required safety equipment and follow lock-out/tag-out and HAZCOM guidelines
