About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Answer incoming telephone calls from business customers contacting the Customer Solutions Center
- Use judgment and basic facility maintenance knowledge to determine proper work order handling
- Identify facility maintenance issues and required service types
- Create work orders from calls
- Dispatch work orders via email, web, or fax within specified timelines
- Escalate and track high-priority work orders according to account procedures
- Follow customer-specific policies and procedures for multiple customers
- Coordinate with customers, vendors, facility managers, technicians, and management
- Facilitate reactive maintenance work in customer facilities
- Prioritize work to meet or exceed performance standards
- Provide work order follow-up and reporting as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma, or equivalent years of customer service experience
- 2-3 years office-based customer service or call center experience preferred
- Basic facilities maintenance knowledge preferred
- Strong computer and phone skills
- Ability to use web-based computer applications
- Typing accuracy of at least 90%
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage telephone customer interactions and convey confidence while resolving customer issues
- Professional, friendly demeanor with a customer-oriented attitude
- Good communication and listening skills
- Able to accept constructive criticism
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a changing environment
- Ability to complete work accurately under deadline pressure
- Ability to quickly make decisions with limited input from the customer
