About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, direct, coordinate, track, complete, and record all EMCOR Facilities Services scope-related work at the site in the CMMS
- Ensure client expectations, site KPIs, service-level agreements, and EMCOR goals are achieved
- Develop action plans and Root Cause Analyses to correct issues and underperforming services
- Work with maintenance personnel and subcontractors to ensure duties are completed safely, effectively, and properly documented
- Facilitate safety and operational meetings and drive the team’s safety and operating culture
- Manage breakdowns and emergency calls and oversee time-critical repairs
- Support corporate projects and serve as the primary interface between EMCOR and the client
- Develop strategies to improve equipment reliability, teammate safety, and service delivery costs
- Participate in customer meetings, build relationships with customer contacts and end users, and develop and deliver site-performance presentations
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate work through CMMS and facilitate Daily Maintenance Planning meetings
- Organize daily workload and supervise teammates and subcontractors to meet safety, schedule, and quality standards
- Maintain documentation for customer audits
- Understand client priorities and recommend improvements to facility productivity, service quality, costs, and KPI results
- Foster a positive work environment; perform work-order audits focused on safety and quality
- Provide training, mentorship, development, and performance-review management
- Manage small on-site projects and support EMCOR corporate project teams with proposals, scopes of work, and project execution
- Follow up on punch-list items and provide feedback to corporate project teams
- Evaluate buildings, assets, equipment, and processes for company and client compliance
- Manage operational, safety, and financial site metrics, including budgets, accruals, and savings
- Manage vendor safety and performance and participate in subcontractor performance reviews
- Lead daily toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings; manage vendor safety processes and permits
- Investigate safety concerns, escalate issues, and recommend resolutions
- Ensure compliance-related services are accurately executed and documented for audits
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in facilities management and Team Leadership
- OSHA 10 hour and/or 30 Hour card is required
- Facility Maintenance Professional (FMP), Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) certification a plus
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, including proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with Enterprise Software and CMMS required
- Experience with Corrigo a plus
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, including safety policies and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with both management and field level employees
- Ability to sit, use a phone and computer, walk extensively for site audits and physical building checks, and occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in office and manufacturing environments with varying noise, extreme temperatures, dust, oil, and debris
- Potential overnight travel required
