About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Enforce, train, investigate and oversee service field staff safety policy acceptance and compliance
  • Attend safety meetings and review near misses, accidents and field investigations
  • Authorize root causes for incidents and accidents and initiate follow-up or procedural changes
  • Assist with new-hire orientations and complete field-readiness checklists
  • Oversee field training, Mesa Certification, on-the-job training, maintenance, repairs, service calls and small service projects
  • Direct outside training classes and facilitate Union field-training labor reimbursements
  • Conduct field evaluations with Area Supervisors
  • Perform annual truck inspections and oversee the vehicle lease program
  • Perform job-site inspections
  • Attend first-time PMs over $5,000 annually with technicians and customers
  • Staff maintenance accounts with Area Supervisors
  • Assist in monthly contract renewal meetings
  • Support recruiting for field staff and maintain crew levels and talent mix
  • Provide field support to Dispatch, Sales and Project Production teams
  • Respond in person to customer field-related issues
  • Participate in monthly team safety meetings
  • Identify, mentor and train future field leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Extensive HVAC field knowledge with minimum 15 years service field experience
  • Extensive Safety knowledge and training with minimum 15 years field experience
  • Knowledge of Local Union Requirements including National Agreements
  • Supervisory and Leadership experience in the service HVAC field minimum 5 years
