About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare quarterly financial forecasts and monthly updates
Manage contracts to meet contractual requirements and financial goals
Lead and maintain a strong, trained, and disciplined technical workforce
Manage daily operations, scheduled maintenance, and facilities-work subcontracts
Evaluate project efficiency and control operational expenses
Provide administrative and technical direction and supervision to staff
Plan and delegate major project assignments and determine building priorities
Ensure upkeep of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, sanitation, buildings, grounds, and emergency facilities situations
Coordinate purchasing of supplies, equipment, and services and maintain inventory control
Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors on expansions, renovations, and major projects
Maintain records, files, controls, procedures, and work-production documentation
Develop employee training sessions
Maintain a strong safety program
Plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and control physical plant activities
Work with customers to find mutually satisfactory solutions to difficult issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction discipline
2+ years of demonstrated experience managing HVAC projects
Knowledge of submitting written proposals and scopes of work
Knowledge of scheduling and coordinating site contractors and assigned personnel
Thorough understanding of preventive maintenance schedules and operations
Ability to meet demanding customer requirements
Strong experience with Windows and MS Office
Demonstrated skill at developing and nurturing client relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skilled in organizing and leading groups of people
Ability to work independently or as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities
Ability to walk throughout a large facility, including climbing stairs and walking on catwalks
