About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist SVP Operations in supporting operating company performance across the assigned region
  • Participate in operating reviews and project discussions
  • Identify execution risks and improvement opportunities
  • Support implementation of operational discipline, including project controls, productivity, and planning
  • Develop familiarity with key projects, backlog, and operational drivers across operating companies
  • Track project execution trends, productivity signals, and schedule adherence
  • Provide structured updates to SVP Operations
  • Build relationships with operating company leadership teams
  • Support new CEO or operations leader transitions
  • Assist Strategic Development Leader in onboarding alignment
  • Coach and influence without authority
  • Assist in coordinating enterprise initiatives involving preconstruction discipline, procurement, project execution, and technology and AI adoption
  • Translate enterprise initiatives into practical operating company actions
  • Support acquisition integration efforts
  • Help assess the operational maturity of new businesses and learn integration frameworks and expectations
  • Work closely with the Chief Operations Officer and operating company leadership teams to strengthen execution discipline, support leadership transitions, and improve operational predictability
  • Travel up to 40-60%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related areas of study or field experience
  • Minimum of 7-10 years Mechanical Construction experience
  • Prior experience in one or more: Project Management, Field Operations, Estimating/Preconstruction, Fabrication/Prefabrication
  • Exposure to multiple project types preferred, including commercial, industrial, and mission critical
  • Broad understanding of Mechanical Contracting business
  • Proven track record of leading projects while maintaining a commitment to Ethics and Safety
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience with Accubid, Procore, Bluebeam or other construction software
  • Familiarity with construction/financial software packages
  • Must have demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English
  • Ability to travel by plane and/or car 40-60% of the time
  • Ability to sit, see, talk, hear, use hands, walk, reach, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds
