About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create and maintain detailed shop and fabrication drawings for HVAC and plumbing systems using company standards and project specifications.
Prepare drawing packages that support fabrication, installation, and engineering review processes.
Ensure all drawings follow established Danforth drafting standards, dimension styles, and drawing setup requirements.
Review Bills of Materials (BOMs) and verify consistency with project duct construction and piping schedule requirements.
Collaborate closely with VDC team members to develop accurate and coordinated construction documentation.
Coordinate with VDC Managers, Project Managers, General Contractors, and other project stakeholders to support project objectives.
Utilize industry software tools to develop, coordinate, and update project models and drawings.
Maintain attention to detail and accuracy while meeting project schedules and deadlines.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an HVAC detailing, CAD, VDC, or related construction environment.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered
Proficiency with Revit (2023 or newer)
Proficiency with Navisworks
Proficiency with Stratus
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams
Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
Ability to follow established standards, procedures, and drafting guidelines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
