About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle employee relations cases including disciplinary actions, grievances, absence management, probation, AWOL, flexible working and TUPE
  • Advise line managers on informal and formal employee relations issues
  • Ensure consistent and fair application of policies
  • Ensure advice aligns with current legislation and internal policies
  • Maintain accurate records of ER cases and resolutions using internal systems
  • Upskill managers on handling ER matters effectively and legally
  • Liaise with trade unions or employee representatives when necessary
  • Track ER KPIs and contribute to service improvement strategies
  • Provide responsive, compliant and solution-focused ER advisory support to operational management teams across the UK
  • Act as the first point of contact for generalist HR issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Able to provide remote ER support for a multi-site operation
  • Experience providing HR advice in line with relevant policies and legislation
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage high-volume casework and queries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to write clear, understandable and concise correspondence
  • Excellent attention to detail and telephone manner
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Understanding of customer requirements and ability to recommend solutions commercially
  • Proactive and practical problem-solving approach
  • Good working knowledge of current employment legislation and its workplace application
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office programmes
  • Experience with HR systems, HRIS or CRM platforms desirable
  • Background in healthcare or similar regulated environments desirable
  • Currently studying or have completed CIPD Level 3 as a minimum
  • Minimum of 3 years' HR experience with practical and commercial HR advice capability
