About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the day-to-day HR function and provide support throughout the employee lifecycle
  • Manage and improve the HRIS and related people systems, including records, workflows, reporting, data integrity, and automation
  • Lead benefits and compensation practices, including enrollment, employee education, plan evaluation, benchmarking, salary structures, internal equity, and compensation reviews
  • Own HR policies, the employee handbook, and employment compliance across multiple states
  • Manage employee relations matters, including performance concerns, workplace issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
  • Coach and advise managers and company leadership on feedback, difficult conversations, employee development, team dynamics, and policy application
  • Lead performance and career development strategy, including reviews, goal setting, feedback, and development planning
  • Own onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Coordinate payroll and manage HR vendors and partners
  • Develop HR reporting and people metrics covering headcount, turnover, retention, compensation, and workforce trends
  • Lead people-related integration of acquired companies
  • Build and lead an HR team over time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of progressive experience across a broad range of human resources responsibilities
  • Experience leading an HR function or serving in an HR leadership role
  • Strong working knowledge of HR operations, employee relations, benefits, compensation, performance management, HR systems, and employment compliance
  • Experience advising and coaching managers and senior leaders through complex employee and organizational situations
  • Ability to operate strategically and hands-on
  • Experience creating, improving, and scaling HR processes within a growing organization
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive employee and company information
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing a workforce across multiple states
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or organizational integrations is nice to have
  • Experience building or developing an HR team is nice to have
  • Experience in professional services, consulting, or a fully remote company is nice to have
  • Experience with Rippling HRIS is nice to have
  • HR certification such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent is nice to have
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Must complete a criminal background check prior to the first date of employment
