About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead major customer-facing projects involving highly customized solutions and large-scale orders
- Drive high-value projects from bid preparation through purchase order planning and execution
- Engage customer-facing teams to design and provide solutions aligned with client expectations and requirements
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers and internal teams
- Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies with operations
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, procurement, and operations
- Apply electrical design principles in theory and practice
- Read and interpret schematics, elevation drawings, technical drawings, and datasheets
- Develop, review, and approve technical drawings and documentation packages
- Perform simple to intermediate electrical calculations, simulations, and risk assessments
- Ensure projects and builds comply with electrical codes and product certifications
- Support process optimization and cost-reduction initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- A minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience
- Advanced skills in CAD tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Creo, EPLAN, or similar 3D software)
- Ability to interpret technical documents and provide application support
- Hands-on testing experience using electrical measurement tools
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and international electrical standards
- Excellent communication and project management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship will not be provided
- Preferred: introductory experience with hazardous area applications, control systems, instrumentation, and low-voltage power distribution
- Preferred: knowledge of hazardous location classifications, protection methods (Ex d, Ex e, Ex i), and global standards (NEC, IEC, API)
- Preferred: practical electrical engineering experience with low-voltage power systems
- Preferred: experience managing projects of various complexities
- Preferred: manufacturing environment experience
- Preferred: familiarity with electrical power distribution and control equipment
- Preferred: demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
- Preferred: organizational and task/project management abilities
