About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, and implement Human-Machine Optimization (HMO) and High Performance Control Room solutions for power and water utility customers
  • Create intuitive operator graphics and visualization solutions aligned with industry standards
  • Configure and deliver alarm management solutions
  • Analyze alarm and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and process-improvement recommendations
  • Facilitate workshops with plant operators, engineers, and customer stakeholders
  • Support system integration, factory testing, site commissioning, and customer acceptance activities
  • Manage project priorities, schedules, and customer expectations
  • Build trusted customer relationships through technical expertise, communication, and consultative problem-solving
  • Develop expertise in control room design, operator effectiveness, alarm management, and Emerson Ovation technologies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of experience in industrial operations, manufacturing, process control, automation, power generation, water treatment, engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate complex information into practical solutions
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with customers, operators, engineers, and project teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% throughout North America
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Knowledge of controls and/or alarm systems
  • Experience optimizing human-machine interfaces (HMI) or alarm management systems
  • Knowledge of ANSI/ISA 18.2, ANSI/ISA 101.01, or IEC 63303 is a plus
  • Ability to present confidently to groups of varying sizes
