About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, configure, test, and troubleshoot networking solutions supporting Ovation control systems
- Provide high-level technical support for LAN/WAN hardware, switches, firewalls, routers, and media converters
- Design and implement wired, wireless, and multi-network systems
- Support network connectivity and resolve network-related issues
- Analyze network activity and problems to identify and prevent systematic errors
- Troubleshoot and diagnose network issues
- Research and recommend software or hardware enhancements
- Maintain proficiency with current and future networking technologies
- Provide proposal, project team, iCenter, and field service support related to networking
- Travel to customer sites to commission or troubleshoot network equipment, up to 20% of the time
- Gather technical equipment specifications from customers and determine network configurations aligned with Ovation standards
- Collaborate with global teams, project partners, and customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Recent graduate or entry-level engineer
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, design principles, and problem-solving methods
- Ability to analyze information and think creatively to find solutions
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- CCNP or CCNA certification preferred
- Knowledge of Ovation networks and architecture preferred
- Familiarity with other DCS or PLC manufacturers preferred
- Experience working with Cisco devices preferred
