About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Program, install, maintain, and upgrade software and hardware for computer networks related to COMNET
Support the City of San Diego's network platforms for systems management, operational requests, and issue resolution
Provide on-site instruction to customer personnel
Write and modify maintenance procedures
Perform quality control tests and/or product evaluation
Direct customer personnel during installation and routine modification or repair of control systems, subsystems, and equipment
Provide engineering advisory assistance to customers and liaise within the company on equipment-related issues
Create complete and timely reports emphasizing problems encountered and services provided

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience programming Emerson Ovation DCS
Experience with programming PLC
Related experience engaging with customers for the installation of control systems
Experience loading application software
Experience loading, installing, and maintaining network equipment
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including overnights and some weekends
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Certifications in core programming languages (CSPO, PMI-ACP, etc.) preferred
