About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Surface automation opportunities across the organization
- Maintain a backlog of automation projects
- Ensure efficient execution of development
- Work on project-based assignments in small and large teams to deliver RPA-focused automated processes
- Design, develop, and implement custom solutions automating existing or new processes
- Manage the full automation solution lifecycle, including identifying opportunities, gathering requirements, developing, testing, and deploying solutions
- Troubleshoot and fix major bugs and defects
- Assist junior developers in resolving issues and requests appropriately and on time
- Introduce and test new technologies to improve the team’s RPA and automation capabilities
- Create automation sequences and code supporting Office 365, Excel macros, RPA, and other Emerson-approved automation tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or similar
- 3–4 years of relevant work experience in software development, tools, and process automation, particularly in RPA Development
- Proficiency in automation tools and platforms, including Office 365 applications (Flow, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams)
- Deep knowledge of integrated administrative and productivity tools
- Hands-on troubleshooting and response experience
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Ability to proficiently communicate ideas and influence internal and external customers
- Ability to collaborate and work efficiently with people at any level
