About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide financial leadership and strategic partnership across Emerson's Pressure Management business in North America
- Oversee financial performance, including P&L and balance sheet management
- Lead financial reporting in accordance with Emerson policies, US GAAP, and local accounting standards
- Establish and monitor accounting systems, practices, and internal controls
- Direct financial planning and analysis activities
- Monitor monthly financial results, analyze variances, and bridge forecast to actual results
- Lead quarterly financial forecast preparation and present plans to the PRM President and CFO
- Present regular updates on financial results and business performance
- Develop long-term financial plans with North America Sales and Operations leaders
- Lead the annual North America World Area budget process
- Advise management and business unit leaders on financial objectives, policies, and actions
- Act as a trusted advisor and recommend courses of action to achieve financial results
- Conduct site visits to North America locations 1–2 times per year
- Attend Operations Reviews with the North America VP Operations
- Direct completion and quarterly certification of North America Internal Control Questionnaires
- Drive efficiency and continuous improvement within the North America Finance function
- Leverage next-generation financial tools
- Partner with North America Sales and Operations to achieve financial targets
- Lead a team of four to five direct reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 10+ years progressive experience, including leadership of Financial Planning and Analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- High standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
- Experience managing and developing direct reports
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Demonstrated ability to work hands-on with team members
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship will not be provided
- MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred
- Prior Emerson experience preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
