About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop in-depth experience in technology relevant to Emerson’s Liquid Analysis products
- Support electrical engineering activities within cross-functional design, manufacturing, and test engineering teams
- Use electrical design and development tools for circuit schematics, printed circuit board layout, and circuit simulations
- Perform electronics design verification testing and provide evidence that designs meet specifications and customer needs
- Facilitate design reviews and collaborate with other engineering disciplines
- Perform electronic measurements using common laboratory equipment
- Analyze laboratory test results statistically and report findings to engineering peers
- Troubleshoot Emerson systems and electronic circuits to the functional block or component level
- Support global electronics circuit card and product manufacturing by improving product designs, streamlining manufacturing processes, reducing costs, and improving quality
- Participate in the design, development, and support of Emerson’s Liquid Analysis products
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school
- Zero (0) to Four (4) years of experience
- Working knowledge and understanding of electronics fundamentals
- Basic knowledge and competency using standard engineering laboratory tools and instruments
- Basic knowledge developing electronic circuits using schematic capture, simulation, and board layout tools
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Experience with Labview and Allegro / Cadence tools (preferred)
