About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with the Sales team and customers to develop comprehensive project scopes for custom power and water applications
- Conduct site walkdowns and develop cost estimates for retrofit engineering and installation projects
- Develop technical specifications and coordinate with third-party vendors
- Evaluate contractor bids for installation work
- Manage and coordinate regional projects, including planning and scheduling
- Lead technical and project meetings and document outcomes
- Design, review, implement, and test control systems for power and water applications
- Develop and maintain control system databases, logic, and operator interfaces
- Support installation, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer sites
- Provide technical guidance and engineering support to customers and internal teams
- Build and sustain customer relationships through professional verbal and written communication
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, related STEM degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years of related experience
- Working knowledge of power plants and all subsystems
- Experience with DCS controls
- Experience developing and maintaining control system databases, logic, and operator interfaces
- Understanding of basic networking
- Computer assembly and troubleshooting experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 50–75% of the time; travel requirement will be seasonal
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Working understanding of Ladder Logic, SAMA diagrams, and P&ID prints
- Experience managing/coordinating projects
- 5+ years of control experience in the power and water/wastewater treatment industries
