About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop mechatronic, electrical and pneumatic modules with a focus on mechanical design and detailing
  • Execute development projects for new electric and hybrid actuator platforms
  • Ensure compliance with development processes, project requirements, and milestones
  • Define functional specifications from approved requirement profiles
  • Conduct feasibility and manufacturability studies with suppliers, Operations, and Supply Chain
  • Define and support functional and endurance tests with Laboratory teams
  • Collaborate in international, interdisciplinary, and cross-site development projects
  • Support project managers in achieving technical and commercial objectives and timelines
  • Develop technical concepts and integrate new technologies into product development projects
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams on development, validation, and implementation of new products

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or mechatronics engineering or related technical field
  • 3+ years of professional experience, ideally in Automation technologies
  • Very good knowledge of common CAD systems; CREO/Windchill preferred
  • Experience with calculations related to strength, service life, wear, dimensioning and tolerances of components
  • Very good written and spoken English and German
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20%
  • Currently based in Germany
  • Valid work authorization for Germany
