About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop Magnetic and Vortex flowmeter products and technologies on a multidisciplinary project team
- Develop products and processes using advanced technical expertise
- Make decisions regarding new technology and high-risk technical solutions
- Manage and lead complex new-product and significant redesign efforts
- Provide technical leadership for multiple products
- Apply industry and company standards to achieve robust product designs
- Identify and use proven technologies, leverage existing product designs, and create original circuit designs
- Prepare technical documentation and data
- Assist with or lead analog circuit design, peer reviews, product qualification planning, and testing
- Ensure products are tested and documented to Rosemount quality requirements
- Apply engineering rigor to resolve technical issues and make technical decisions
- Prepare project plans spanning several months and identify assistance needed from other functional groups
- Provide periodic technical product support
- Review and approve engineering change notifications
- Manage and execute cost-saving opportunities
- Assist with resolving customer inquiries
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or any STEM-related courses
- 8+ years of applicable experience in analog electrical hardware design, including analog circuit design, A/D converters, low-noise circuits, analysis, and simulation
- Knowledge of analog circuit design, microcontroller-based board-level design, schematic entry, printed circuit board design and layout, and prototype verification and testing
- Experience with linear and switch-mode power supplies and galvanic isolation techniques
- Experience with EMC requirements and design techniques
- Track record of successful product enhancements and introductions
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
- Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship now or in the future, are not eligible for hire
- Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program (preferred)
- Experience with international safety and hazardous location design, including intrinsic safety (preferred)
- Familiarity with industrial digital communication protocols (preferred)
- Familiarity with data acquisition software such as C# and LabView (preferred)
- Experience interfacing electronics to process sensors (preferred)
