About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain product roadmaps for assigned product lines
- Conduct portfolio reviews and support lifecycle management decisions
- Support product positioning and platform strategies
- Coordinate product certification activities with engineering and quality teams
- Monitor orders, revenue, profitability, and product mix and recommend improvement strategies
- Lead new product development initiatives through stage-gate processes
- Define market requirements, business cases, and commercial priorities
- Develop market and product requirement specifications
- Drive product enhancement initiatives
- Partner with engineering on engineer-to-order and configure-to-order strategies
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain on delivery performance, product availability, and manufacturing strategies
- Maintain pricing structures, product configurations, and value-based pricing strategies
- Analyze pricing performance, competitive positioning, and profitability trends
- Support pricing governance and cost optimization initiatives
- Conduct competitive analysis and market assessments
- Design and execute voice-of-customer activities
- Translate market intelligence into product and business strategy
- Collaborate with marketing and sales on product training, sales enablement tools, and customer-facing materials
- Support product launches, go-to-market strategies, and commercial readiness
- Build partnerships across sales, engineering, operations, finance, and marketing
- Contribute to forecasting, planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Experience in product management, product marketing, business development, or a related commercial role within an industrial, manufacturing, or technology-focused environment
- Demonstrated success managing products throughout the lifecycle, including strategy development, market analysis, product launches, pricing, and portfolio optimization
- Strong commercial and business acumen with the ability to evaluate business cases, pricing strategies, and financial performance
- Experience working with pricing tools, product configuration systems, CRM platforms, ERP systems, or similar business applications
- Ability to gather and synthesize customer feedback, market intelligence, and competitive insights
- Strong collaboration skills across engineering, sales, operations, finance, marketing, and other business functions
- Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other standard business tools
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Preferred: Experience with ultrasonic welding, vibration welding, precision cleaning, advanced joining technologies, or related industrial solutions
- Preferred: Knowledge of manufacturing markets such as automotive, medical devices, electronics, consumer goods, or similar industries
- Preferred: Experience supporting engineer-to-order and configure-to-order product management environments
- Preferred: Familiarity with value analysis, value engineering, cost optimization, or continuous improvement initiatives
- Preferred: Advanced business education or professional certifications related to product management, marketing, strategy, or business leadership
