About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare DCS proposals for new generation power projects in response to customer requests
- Review customer specifications and confirm compliance
- Collaborate across teams to validate technical feasibility, engineering requirements, and cost-effective solutions
- Engage directly with customers to communicate Emerson’s capabilities and understand application needs
- Develop optimal project cost structures that mitigate technical risk and strengthen competitive positioning
- Partner with sales, engineering, project teams, and global offices to deliver cohesive proposal packages
- Develop Ovation-based solutions for new generation power projects across North America
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with controls and automation (DCS/PLC/SCADA) systems
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- 2+ years of relevant experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of proposal development, cost estimating, project management, or project engineering (preferred)
- Experience with the Ovation DCS platform (preferred)
- Experience preparing technical compliance clarifications and exceptions (preferred)
- Experience working across a variety of groups in a large organization (preferred)
- Demonstrate the need to know the latest on new technologies and make learning a priority (preferred)
