About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide on-site instruction to customer personnel
  • Write and modify maintenance procedures
  • Perform quality control tests and/or product evaluations
  • Direct customer personnel during installation, modification, and repair of control systems, subsystems, and equipment
  • Provide engineering advisory assistance to customers and act as an internal company liaison
  • Analyze and solve engineering problems associated with installation, start-up, and operation of distributed control systems and related equipment
  • Create complete and timely activity reports emphasizing problems encountered and services provided

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of related experience engaging with customers for installation of control systems, loading application software, and loading, installing and maintaining network equipment
  • Ability to travel up to 90% of the time, including overnights and some weekends
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Experience programming with PLC and/or DCS software preferred
  • Experience with Emerson Ovation software preferred
