About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Understand training needs from global stakeholders.
  • Assess the state of the existing training program.
  • Build out the training university to support all company brands and world areas.
  • Ensure excellent course content is developed for existing and new products and industries in collaboration with Segment Marketing and Product Management.
  • Roll out and maintain the university global training calendar.
  • Run training courses via direct staff of training managers and a network of subject matter experts.
  • Lead the global training team and cultivate a high-performing team culture.
  • Equip internal employees and sales channel partners to sell, support, and service Emerson products.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in education, learning and development, technical training, sales enablement, and/or product training.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time domestically and/or internationally.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Team leadership experience preferred.
  • Advanced degree in a discipline related to the role preferred.
  • Experience supporting sales, marketing, product management, technical, or commercial functions within a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or technology-focused organization preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading multifunctional learning initiatives preferred.
  • Related experience managing learning, learning technologies, vendor partners, and large-scale development programs globally and at scale preferred.
