About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop software components addressing customer requirements in ADG Systems R&D focus applications
  • Work with ADG Unit domain experts to implement critical software components, system-level software architectures, and APIs/User Interfaces
  • Implement and test software features and capabilities for new and existing offerings
  • Work in an Agile team environment to prioritize work items and deliver release features on time
  • Follow and refine coding guidelines
  • Provide effective code reviews
  • Contribute to writing effective test plans

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proficiency in programming languages and development experience on Windows/Linux platform in traditional text-based programming and/or NI Software
  • Working towards a BS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Information Science, or Computer Science
  • Basic understanding of software design principles
  • US Citizen and/or US Person, as required by law, regulations and/or government contracts with the DoD
  • Understanding of NI software tools (LabVIEW, TestStand, Veristand) preferred
  • Experience working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools and processes preferred
  • Hands-on use of NI Hardware Platforms preferred
  • Understanding of Agile software development principles preferred
  • Ability to persistently drive tasks and lead projects to successful completion
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with engineering teams and management
  • Problem-solving skills, including diagnosing technical issues and proposing reasonable solutions
  • Ability to quickly learn applicable technology, systems, and products
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided
  • Temporary visa holders and candidates needing current or future sponsorship are not eligible for hire
