About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in product development cycle projects
  • Develop software involving development tools, compiler design, graphical user interfaces, kernel-level drivers, instrument drivers, networking, embedded and real-time systems, automated data acquisition systems, and mathematical analysis
  • Work with high-level programming languages including C++, Python, and C
  • Work with Microsoft Windows, Linux, and real-time operating systems
  • Work with high-speed bus interfaces including PCIExpress, PCI, Ethernet, and USB
  • Develop user-mode and kernel-mode driver components or firmware for embedded processors and FPGAs
  • Contribute project work to T&M’s business success
  • Manage time, consult mentors, drive progress, and complete goals and tasks
  • Problem-solve, diagnose technical issues, and propose solutions
  • Collaborate effectively in a group environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Pursuing Bachelors in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, engineering physics, mechatronics, physics, or software engineering
  • Class Standing Sophomore or above
  • Strong foundation and understanding of computers
  • Exposure to high-level programming languages such as C++, C or C#
  • Understanding of software design and architecture principles
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Preference given to well-qualified rising juniors and rising seniors
  • Knowledge of operating system components and design
  • Knowledge of computer system/bus architectures
  • Knowledge of data structures
