About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Global Software Distribution Manager with efficient software royalty-reporting processes
  • Process purchase orders for standard and non-standard software products
  • Update software ordering forms and webpages
  • Provide special licensing agreements
  • Communicate information regarding software orders, distributions, and licensing
  • Ensure contract compliance and maintain valid contracts
  • Track license usage and proper inventory transactions
  • Issue purchase orders for royalty payments to suppliers
  • Advise projects on appropriate licenses and place orders
  • Set up new suppliers, part numbers, and tracking mechanisms
  • Provide services and guidance to internal business customers
  • Manage communication with third-party vendors
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly accrual reports for Finance
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for third-party vendors
  • Identify components required for different business segments
  • Recognize licensing-agreement risks and suggest alternative strategies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering required; computer science engineering or another IT background preferred
  • 1 to 3 years’ procurement experience
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required for daily stakeholder communication
  • Knowledge of software licensing requirements, including renewal and maintenance compliance
  • Project management skills for introducing new products
  • Basic understanding of business needs and use of third-party software
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Power BI and advanced Excel functionalities
  • Basic knowledge of OEM software contract terminology, compliance, terms, and conditions
  • Ability to understand third-party software licensing and manage compliance
  • Ability to work on several contracts/projects simultaneously
  • Ability to identify components required for various business segments
  • Ability to recognize risks in licensing agreements and suggest alternative strategies
  • Ability to support technology and procurement strategy related to software licensing
  • Ability to structure licensing agreements for minimum risk, cost, and compliance
