About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete a four-year, two-rotation MBA Leadership Program
  • Work closely with senior executives and cross-functional teams on enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Analyze Emerson peers' and competitors' strategic positions
  • Identify strategic partners and evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
  • Prepare strategy presentations for Emerson executives and the Emerson Board of Directors
  • Support annual strategic planning exercises and conferences
  • Perform internal consulting engagements to improve Emerson business units and world area organizations
  • Complete a second rotation in an Emerson business unit, potentially in product management, operations, sales, or strategic planning
  • Lead initiatives supporting business goals, operational excellence, and Emerson's global workforce strategy
  • Participate in leadership development programs, executive mentorship, networking, and professional development workshops

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree prior to the first day of employment
  • One to three years of relevant professional experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a STEM-designated field, including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related technical disciplines
  • Demonstrated leadership potential
  • Ability to take on complex and challenging problems
  • Curiosity to learn and build a professional network
  • Ability to acquire data from multiple and diverse sources when solving problems
  • Ability to anticipate future trends and implications accurately
  • Effective communication in one-on-one, small-group, large-group, and diverse settings
