About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sell, promote, and demonstrate Greenlee & RIDGID tools and equipment
- Direct and coordinate utility market sales through customer contact and coordination with local ProTools Territory Managers
- Coach and provide direction to regional Territory Managers in a matrix-managed environment
- Perform field product demonstrations, training, and technical support for end-users and distribution channel partners
- Drive strategic new product sales and solutions to expand markets and market share
- Develop, present, and execute annual business plans for incremental sales growth
- Develop and manage monthly and yearly sales forecasts
- Develop and own relationships with key distributor partners and end users
- Serve as subject matter expert for products, applications, and pricing programs
- Support regional and national organizations through training and special projects
- Use computers and communicate with employees and customers by telephone, mail, email, and in person
- Report to the Regional Sales Manager for the South Region
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of related Sales, Marketing, or Electrical field experience in the utilities market
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a matrix-managed environment, including coaching, mentoring, and providing selling support to Territory Managers
- Solid business acumen
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated success formulating, presenting, executing, and measuring business plans
- Proven track record of achieving goals and sales targets in the Electrical Utility market
- Experience with distribution channels, especially Electrical and Utility industrial products
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver industrial tools and product inventory for demonstrations and trade shows
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight stays and trips of a week or more
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Industrial Distribution, or another relevant discipline
- Preferred: minimum 5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or technical support of B2B Sales in the Electrical Utility Market
- Preferred: strong mechanical aptitude with electrical, utility, or related tools
- Preferred: proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- CRM application experience is a plus
