About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide administrative support for the Master's in Development Practice program
  • Coordinate day-to-day program operations, financial administration, human resources processes, database and records management, communications, and logistics
  • Ensure office activities comply with Emory policies and procedures
  • Respond to telephone calls, emails, correspondence, and routine inquiries
  • Maintain calendars and prioritize meeting requests
  • Prepare forms, grant applications, correspondence, reports, charts, graphs, and presentations
  • Schedule meetings and special events and manage related logistics
  • Process invoices, payment requests, journal entries, funds transfers, honoraria, wire transfers, expense reports, and reimbursements
  • Monitor budgets, grants, program expenses, and account status
  • Plan and coordinate travel arrangements
  • Maintain databases, spreadsheets, archival records, files, and documents
  • Process student employee, temporary/visiting instructor, and faculty hires
  • Liaise with Emory and Laney Graduate School Human Resources
  • Coordinate outreach, recruitment, student/alumni engagement, admissions, events, catering, guest lists, office supplies, and space needs
  • Support listservs, platforms, training materials, and day-to-day office operations
  • Report to the Assistant Director of Academics and Operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalency of a high school diploma and five years of administrative experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as OneDrive, Zoom, and Teams
  • Position tasks are generally required to be performed in person at an Emory University location
  • Must be able to work without visa sponsorship
  • Occasional work outside standard business hours may be required
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree and two to three years of clerical or secretarial experience
