About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide administrative support for general management, a research environment, or a specific program
- Ensure office activities comply with Emory policies and procedures
- Respond to incoming telephone calls
- Maintain calendars and prioritize management meeting requests
- Review incoming correspondence and prepare routine responses
- Complete forms, grant applications, and program correspondence
- Prepare charts, graphs, reports, presentations, and scientific or programmatic documents
- Schedule meetings and manage logistics for meetings and special events
- Prepare meeting and event materials
- Process and maintain records and invoices
- Monitor account status, identify cost-effective solutions, and authorize expenditures as applicable
- Monitor or maintain budgets and grants and prepare expense reports and reimbursements
- Plan and coordinate travel arrangements
- Maintain databases and spreadsheets, analyze data, and generate reports
- Organize files and documents
- Oversee ordering and maintenance of office supplies
- May supervise or direct support staff and students
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalency of a high school diploma and five years of administrative experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience with collaboration tools such as OneDrive, Zoom, and Teams
- Must reside in the state of Georgia
- Must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based on business needs
