About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in directing strategic planning, development, and implementation of programs
  • Serve as liaison between Arts Program faculty, the Office of Academic Affairs, the Humanities Division, and Oxford College
  • Provide operational support to Academic Affairs leadership, faculty, and students
  • Facilitate longer-term planning for integrated arts agendas, events, and programs
  • Support cross-program initiatives that enhance visibility and collaboration
  • Develop operational and statistical reports and maintain required records and documentation
  • Develop and present speeches or presentations to increase program awareness
  • Coordinate physical spaces, maintenance requests, compliance, and technical support for Arts Programs
  • Organize and coordinate events, including artwork, promotional materials, venue scheduling, and logistics
  • Organize and facilitate Lyceum committee meetings
  • Maintain the proposal portal and participate in proposal review and approval
  • Manage program budgets, process and track expenses, run monthly budget reports, participate in quarterly budget reviews, and assist with budget requests
  • Manage purchasing and process speaker and performer contracts
  • Research suppliers and purchasing efficiencies
  • Supervise the Program Coordinator for Curricular and Academic Events
  • Conduct annual and mid-year evaluations
  • Supervise, recruit, hire, and onboard project staff, student workers, and/or volunteers as assigned
  • Maintain student worker timesheets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program(s)
  • Five years of program-related experience
  • Equivalent combination of experience, education, and training may qualify
  • Ability to perform position tasks generally in person at an Emory University location
  • Ability to support strategic planning, program administration, financial management, reporting, events, purchasing, contracts, and supervision
  • Ability to use operational and statistical reporting processes
  • Ability to coordinate physical spaces, maintenance requests, and compliance
  • Ability to manage schedules, venues, proposals, budgets, expenses, and purchasing
  • Ability to supervise staff, student workers, and/or volunteers
