About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with strategic planning, development, and implementation of La Mesa Academy programs
  • Represent the program at meetings, conferences, events, and national settings
  • Develop and present speeches or presentations to promote program awareness
  • Provide technical support by evaluating processes, conducting training, attending operational meetings, and networking with affiliated groups
  • Monitor progress toward objectives and deadlines
  • Participate in planning, administering, and monitoring program-related budgets
  • Conduct research, design initiatives, and collaborate to maintain program viability
  • Serve on, hold office in, or chair committees
  • Write publishable articles and papers
  • Supervise staff as needed
  • Develop or assist with operational and statistical reports
  • Maintain required records and documentation
  • Maintain financial records, accounts payable, receipts, and grant management
  • Collaborate with the registrar to maintain academic records
  • Manage course catalog, curriculum preparation, enrollment verification, and student records
  • Coordinate calendaring, event planning, and event execution
  • Assist with admissions and enrollment processes, application review, prospective-student communications, recruitment, and yield efforts
  • Advise students on policies, degree requirements, and registration

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program(s) and five years of program-related experience, OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
  • Ability to perform position tasks generally in person at an Emory University location
