About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with experimental platforms specific to the hiring program
  • Perform experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation and communication of results of basic and/or translational research
  • Review literature and apply advanced knowledge, skills, and input necessary for protocol development
  • Assist in grant and other funding applications as necessary and appropriate
  • May serve as principal investigator on funded grant proposals with approval of the responsible Emory faculty director
  • Perform other responsibilities as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • PhD OR master's degree and two years of professional level experience in a technical or research lab OR bachelor's degree and four years of professional level experience in a technical or research lab
  • Laboratory experience related to the area of assignment
  • Internship experience or experience prior to attaining the qualifying degree is not considered eligible work experience
  • Experience with spatial navigation research
  • Skills in collecting and analyzing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data
  • Experience with research in aging populations
  • Skills and experience in mentoring junior scientists and training
  • Strong commitment to broadening opportunities and belonging in research and academic environments
