About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Guide the digital marketing efforts of Advancement and Alumni Engagement
  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic digital marketing plans
  • Research and identify digital trends
  • Track and analyze digital campaign performance across email, digital advertising, and SMS channels
  • Use analytics to develop and implement digital strategies that drive constituent engagement and support division strategic goals
  • Broaden exposure and increase alumni and donor pride, involvement, and investment in Emory University
  • Adhere to policies relating to program initiatives
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across Emory and the division
  • Disseminate routing and review concepts, copy, and layouts with stakeholders to compile feedback
  • Stay current on relevant laws and the latest trends in marketing, video, social media, and digital strategies
  • Work with external vendors
  • Integrate and optimize digital marketing tactics to drive university development goals
  • Perform related responsibilities as required
  • Report to the Director of Digital Marketing and Advertising

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in marketing automation, OR an equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in digital marketing using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar platforms, including text and social media
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience analyzing customer behavior across digital channels and formulating engagement strategies
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience in digital storytelling and design
  • Experience with electronic communications and websites
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, HTML/CSS, SQL, SMS, content design and management systems, mass email applications, team-based fundraising tools, and crowdfunding platforms
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, database and project management software, web reporting/analysis, and CRM systems
  • Aptitude for mastering new software, applications, and databases
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and navigate a complex work environment
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Comfort working with ambiguity
  • High level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality, with sound judgment and discretion
  • Flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines
  • Must reside in the state of Georgia
  • Must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based on business needs
