About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and support two Ph.D. programs, including developing tools, resources, and timelines
- Develop and administer surveys and assessments to identify program needs, evaluate outcomes, and recommend improvements
- Advise Graduate Division of Biological and Biomedical Sciences leadership on program success and future initiatives
- Establish schedules and oversee arrangements, meals, and logistics for events, conferences, meetings, seminars, and recruiting
- Gather and disseminate information regarding policies and procedures
- Respond to graduate school policy and procedure inquiries and make referrals when appropriate
- Support student progress, track milestones, ensure registration, and track applicants during recruitment
- Track milestones and applicant status through a database
- Monitor program budgets and coordinate expenditures
- Serve as liaison between programs, students, faculty, registrar, and leadership to resolve registration, admissions, and other program-related concerns
- Serve as a brand ambassador at recruitment events and conferences when needed
- Present at internal meetings when required
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and two years of experience working with academic programs or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Initiative and ability to multi-task
- Ability to pivot and find workarounds when challenges occur
- Ability to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based on business needs
- Residency in the state of Georgia required
- Some overtime required during peak times, such as the start of the fall semester and recruiting season
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Teams, SurveyMonkey, Canva, Doodle, and existing Emory systems is a plus
