About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate efforts to ensure information systems support departmental objectives and information management needs
- Support efforts to ensure information systems uphold the organizational mission and objectives
- Work with departmental customers to conduct business analysis and identify business objectives and requirements
- Assist in developing technology plans and strategies
- Coordinate planning and implementation of systems-related projects
- Maintain a high level of client satisfaction with Information Services
- Analyze HR business processes, data, systems, and technology needs to improve HR service efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness
- Work with HR team members, departmental stakeholders, University partners, and technology resources to identify business needs and document requirements
- Analyze data, develop solutions, and coordinate implementation and enhancement of HR-related systems, processes, reports, and tools
- Serve as a functional liaison between Human Resources and technical or institutional partners
- Support HR data integrity, reporting and analytics, process improvement, system testing, project implementation, documentation, and end-user support
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and five years of position-specific subject matter knowledge and/or experience in planning and applying information technology to one or more business functions, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
- Knowledge of business analysis principles, process improvement methodologies, information systems, data management, and project coordination
- Working knowledge of Human Resources business processes and the employee lifecycle
- Knowledge of HR information systems, reporting tools, data governance principles, and practices for maintaining accurate and confidential employee information
- Strong business analysis, analytical, problem-solving, and process-mapping skills
- Skill in gathering and documenting business and functional requirements and translating operational needs into technology or process solutions
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with large datasets
- Strong project coordination, documentation, written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze complex HR processes and information, identify root causes and patterns, and develop practical recommendations
- Ability to translate between HR business users and technical partners
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, work collaboratively across functional areas, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and organizational information
- Ability to learn new systems and technologies and apply them effectively to HR business needs
- Residency in the state of Georgia required
- Ability to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule
