About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, integrate, and execute strategic communications and marketing campaigns enhancing Oxford College's national and global presence
  • Collaborate with senior administration and departments to advance Oxford College's mission and communicate its values across platforms
  • Report directly to the Dean of Oxford College and collaborate with the senior administrative team
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the College's mission and enrollment goals
  • Partner with Emory Marketing and Communications to cultivate a unified brand identity
  • Lead crisis and issues communications and provide strategic counsel
  • Oversee creation and curation of content across channels
  • Develop content strategies to enhance SEO/SEM and audience engagement
  • Analyze social media performance metrics and use data to inform decisions
  • Lead and mentor the Marketing and Communications team
  • Encourage staff professional development and manage the department's annual budget
  • Prepare and oversee marketing initiative budgets and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Manage campaigns and projects for publications, advertising, social media, digital communications, marketing automation, and print services
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of the College's brand, image, tone, style, narrative, and visual identity
  • Guide the online narrative by approving public platform content and ensuring timely production
  • Anticipate strategic communications opportunities and develop plans with the Dean
  • Orchestrate and implement communications, including those for the Dean
  • Lead comprehensive social media strategy promoting academic programs, events, and achievements
  • Oversee the multimedia content creator's work
  • Collaborate with admissions, Advancement & Alumni Engagement, Campus Life, and technology departments
  • Perform other related duties supporting Oxford College's mission and objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, and seven years of professional experience developing and executing marketing and communications strategies across various media, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • At least two years of experience driving social media strategies and content development
  • At least three years of experience managing full-time staff and contractors
  • Strong relationships with media outlets, especially in higher education, and ability to build new connections
  • Experience with data analytics to assess impact and adapt strategies
  • Understanding of brand standards and ability to implement brand guidelines
  • Experience with email automation platforms
  • Advanced degree preferred
