About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the strategic leader for communications, public relations, and marketing efforts for the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE)
  • Oversee the organization's brand image and messaging
  • Build and deliver communications strategies and present strategies and updates to stakeholders and members
  • Act as an ambassador and spokesperson for the organization
  • Develop marketing communications plans including strategy, goals, placements, and budget
  • Develop and oversee communication efforts for programs and association-building initiatives
  • Direct social media efforts across traditional and new platforms
  • Lead the redesign and ongoing management of the website and social media platforms
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate PR results quarterly
  • Evaluate partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising opportunities
  • Manage the communications budget in collaboration with the Accounting Department
  • Oversee support materials and services across various content channels
  • Develop and implement media relations, publications, and community/member relations programs
  • Oversee advertising opportunities for web and print materials
  • Enhance the value and competitiveness of ACPE advertising
  • Oversee design, edits, and drafts for conference publicity
  • Represent the organization at board meetings, conferences, and public events
  • Assist with production coordination for annual meetings
  • Draft scripts and talking points for executive leadership and Board officers
  • Coordinate and purchase communications staff travel
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related field, and five years of experience in a related field, including three years in a communications or public relations position, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, content management systems (CMS), and analytics tools
  • Must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs
  • Residency in the state of GA is required
