About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support maintenance of University HRMS content and employee record integrity
  • Create employee records in the HRMS
  • Assist with testing, implementation, and ongoing operational support of HRIS and HRTS applications
  • Perform quality control audits on databases and maintain employee data integrity
  • Troubleshoot unusual data entry situations, problems, and payroll-related issues
  • Liaise with IT staff to resolve HRIS-related issues
  • Interpret employment and pay policies for division human resources representatives
  • Monitor audit reports
  • Collaborate with schools and divisions to process employee data and resolve issues for biweekly and monthly payroll deadlines and annual tax documents
  • Conduct monthly trainings and prepare training materials
  • Collaborate on the quarterly HR Data Services newsletter
  • Train campus human resources representatives on relevant topics
  • Maintain knowledge of US visa types and ensure compliance with Form I-9 and work authorization regulations
  • Provide employment verification
  • Research and resolve errors in data used for institutional reporting
  • Oversee quality assurance activities
  • Work with General Counsel on subpoena requests and maintain litigation-hold documents
  • Process reciprocal I-9s for CUPA institutions
  • Assist with special projects and quarterly or annual events
  • Train and mentor HRCS Specialists
  • Perform related responsibilities as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and two years of related customer service or help desk experience, preferably with human resources information systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Must reside in the state of Georgia
  • Must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based on business needs
  • Knowledge of HRIS and HRTS applications
  • Knowledge of US visa types, Form I-9, and work authorization regulations
  • Working knowledge of benefits, payroll, recruiting, employee relations, and compensation principles
  • Ability to troubleshoot data entry situations, HRIS issues, and payroll-related issues
  • Ability to interpret employment and pay policies
  • Ability to conduct quality control audits and resolve data errors
  • Ability to train and mentor HR support specialists
