About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer comprehensive clinical services to patients
- Provide testing, analyses, and evaluations of seriously ill patients or patients with complex medical problems
- Formulate treatment plans consistent with patient needs
- Assist in supervising staff and students
- Develop in-service training programs for continuing staff development
- Participate in research and data collection pertaining to the job assignment
- Organize workload, prioritize tasks, and accomplish responsibilities using effective time management
- Assist in developing quality improvement initiatives
- Conduct quality improvement activities and performance improvement monitoring
- Provide feedback to occupational therapists and other staff
- Participate in developing and evaluating patient education materials
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited program
- Successful completion of the National Registry Examination for Occupational Therapy within six months of employment
- Certification with the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Two years experience
- Licensed as an occupational therapist in the State of Georgia
- Must maintain competency in adult and geriatric occupational therapy
- Responsible for maintaining necessary credentials for the position
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors, members, care partners, and participants
- Residency in the state of Georgia
- Ability to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs
