About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct research in environmental and reproductive epidemiology under the mentorship of Principal Investigator Dr. Audrey Gaskins
- Design and conduct research within a specified field
- Design and evaluate experiments
- Develop new ideas that promote current research
- Develop and implement research protocols
- Perform population health data analyses
- Prepare and publish scientific manuscripts under the direction of the Principal Investigator
- Prepare manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals
- Deliver presentations at scientific meetings
- Assist in developing grant proposals
- Develop and write funding proposals
- Provide research and methodological support for existing and ongoing studies
- Operate specific equipment when required
- Teach techniques to others, train, and supervise research staff when required
- Increase methodological and substantive knowledge of environmental and reproductive epidemiology
- Build skills for developing and implementing research studies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., M.D., ScD., D.V.M., DDS, etc.) in an appropriate field
- Excellent scientific writing ability
- Strong oral communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues
- Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator
- PhD in Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Biostatistics, or another relevant quantitative field (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in environmental and/or reproductive epidemiology (preferred)
- Expertise in data management/analysis and SAS or R (preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to foster good working relationships with team members and collaborators (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience developing manuscripts for publication (preferred)
