Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Rule of Law Program’s PAIReD and ATJ Africa projects
  • Organize, coordinate, and plan operational facets of a global program and related activities
  • Coordinate travel
  • Process invoices and contracts
  • Schedule meetings and take notes
  • Support procurement processes, including establishing procurement committees, advertising RFPs, organizing applications, developing scoring matrices, and scheduling interviews
  • Develop social media content
  • Coordinate events
  • Assist with report development
  • Support project and work plan implementation
  • Research factors impacting program success and document program requirements
  • Monitor and report program objectives and goals
  • Develop promotional materials and venues, manage relational databases, and establish or forecast budget requirements
  • Develop work plans and monitor progress
  • Monitor expenditures and prepare financial reports; assist with identifying funding resources and developing fundraising strategies
  • Prepare operational and statistical reports
  • Conduct training, represent the program at international meetings and conferences, and network with affiliated groups
  • Write or develop reports, speeches, briefings, newsletters, promotional materials, grants, and other program materials
  • Conduct research and gather information for publications
  • Plan, administer, or monitor program budgets or related grants
  • Assist with program-related conferences, conventions, or meetings
  • May supervise staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program
  • Two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer
  • Must be able to commute to The Carter Center on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs
  • Non-exempt employees must reside within the state of Georgia
