About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and coordinate operational facets of the Feminism & Legal Theory Project and related Law School programs
- Coordinate program-related workshops, events, meetings, hybrid and in-person international academic workshops, visiting scholar presentations, and other events
- Develop work plans, accomplish program goals and objectives, and monitor progress
- Serve as a liaison to individuals, groups, and organizations participating in or seeking knowledge of the program
- Develop promotional and communication materials, including reports, briefings, newsletters, grants, and other written information
- Coordinate with the law library to manage access to, update, and maintain the Feminism and Legal Theory Project Archive
- Facilitate the international visiting scholar program, including J-1 and H-1B visas, with International Student and Scholar Services
- Support visiting scholars throughout their interactions with the VHC/FLT and maintain accurate immigration-compliance records
- Produce, interview, and edit audiovisual materials, including a monthly podcast and oral history project
- Prepare annual reports and process departmental expenses
- Coordinate with other law school departments to facilitate project goals
- Support professors, students, postdoctoral fellows, and visiting scholars
- Assist with funding resources and fundraising strategies and initiatives
- Maintain and update the departmental website
- May supervise program interns, fellows, and volunteers
- Review and edit grant applications, publications, social media, monthly digest, papers, presentations, books, and articles
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize incoming work, manage information, and provide value-added service to others
- Cultural fluency and ability to work well with academics of various professional and cultural backgrounds
- Prior knowledge of or interest in feminism, law, legal theory, sociology, political science, philosophy, or social justice
- Familiarity or comfort with learning audiovisual editing programs such as Audacity, Canva, KDENlive, and/or Vimeo, or comfort with various technologies
- Ability to learn new programs and proactively apply creative solutions
- Attention to detail
