About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Organize, coordinate, and plan operational facets of the program and related activities
  • Establish long-term operational objectives
  • Research factors that may impact program success
  • Work with individuals or groups to research and document program requirements
  • Develop work plans and monitor progress toward program goals and objectives
  • Conduct research and gather information for publications
  • Develop promotional materials, reports, briefings, newsletters, grants, and other program-related written information
  • Assist in developing and coordinating conferences, conventions, and meetings
  • Monitor expenditures and participate in budget planning and financial reporting
  • Assist in identifying funding resources and developing fundraising strategies and initiatives
  • Prepare operational and statistical reports
  • Conduct training, represent the program at meetings and conferences, and network with affiliated groups
  • Supervise assigned project staff, interns, and/or volunteers as applicable
  • Assist with student registration during enrollment blocks and drop/add periods
  • Track and assist with drafting goal-setting plans for students requiring additional support
  • Prepare and distribute agendas, record minutes, and moderate program faculty meetings
  • Assist with student cohort meetings and check-ins
  • Proctor exams as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Ability to organize, coordinate, and plan operational facets of a program
  • Ability to conduct research and gather information
  • Ability to develop publications and promotional materials
  • Ability to assist with conferences, conventions, and meetings
  • Ability to monitor expenditures and prepare financial reports
  • Ability to prepare operational and statistical reports
  • Ability to conduct training and represent the program at meetings and conferences
  • Position tasks generally required to be performed in person at an Emory University location
