About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct planning, development, and operations of a program
- Collaborate with private, government, and international agencies
- Plan, execute, and monitor program budgets, including approval of expenditures
- Prepare annual financial and program reports for external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with federal and international laws and regulations
- Oversee program communications, including communication strategies, key messages, print and electronic materials, and reputation management
- Represent the program in national and international forums
- Engage with NGOs to conduct research and design new initiatives
- Provide project management support for the SPEAC vaccine safety project and potentially other Brighton Collaboration projects
- Manage information and create budget-period financial reports for Work Package Leads
- Ensure timely and accurate information flow among project constituencies
- Manage content and facilitate Executive Board and Project Management Office meetings as needed
- Draft, execute, monitor, and update consultancy and subrecipient contracts
- Review and process monthly invoices and travel expenses
- Track project-plan changes and financial implications
- Maintain project budgets with actuals and projections and communicate budget status monthly
- Act as liaison to partner organizations and project personnel
- Participate in operational problem solving and organizational projects
- May supervise program staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in field related to specific program as indicated
- Six years’ program related experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
- Proficiency with Smartsheet and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience in creating and managing project plans
- Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and quality
- Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
- Previous experience working on international projects
- Must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs
- Requires residency in the state of Georgia
