About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and provide project management support for projects involving financial administration, metrics reviews, and software system upgrades
  • Develop and manage project timelines
  • Work with project teams and departments to identify and resolve concerns
  • Ensure timely delivery of project deliverables
  • Develop and maintain databases, project tracking systems, and reports
  • Design presentations for departmental needs
  • Track departmental budgets and forecast future budget needs
  • Review and process consultant and contractor invoices and expense reports
  • Support budget development for in-country contractors and consultants
  • Maintain and update the departmental website
  • Coordinate deployment of Surge resources, staff, and consultants for outbreak preparedness and response
  • Provide administrative, financial, logistical, and security-related support to deployed staff and consultants
  • Facilitate team calls, summarize meetings, and track action items
  • Assist with field technical, performance, and status reports
  • Plan and coordinate special events, meetings, and workshops
  • Collaborate with internal departments, CDC personnel, GPEI partners, and field offices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and three years of project, financial and/or administrative management experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Proficiency with Excel and Access
  • Experience supporting international public health programs or projects, particularly in complex operating environments
  • Familiarity with the administrative and financial processes of partner agencies such as WHO, UNICEF, and CDC
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, written communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and project management software such as Smartsheet
  • Proficiency with Google for Business
  • Residency in the state of Georgia
  • Ability to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based on business needs
