About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and support a portfolio of aging and caregiving research
  • Direct an intergenerational caregiving intervention trial addressing mental health, social isolation, and loneliness among caregiving youth and older adults
  • Coordinate project activities including environmental scans, focus groups, intervention development, recruitment, delivery, evaluation, and dissemination
  • Analyze, develop, implement, and promote strategies and solutions addressing public health issues
  • Provide education, technical assistance, advocacy, public awareness, and research
  • Work on public health prevalence and surveillance studies and evaluate targeted interventions
  • Provide technical assistance through presentations, web-based resources, strategies, and educational forums
  • Work with clinical study sites on patient recruitment and data collection standards
  • Assist with data collection and data analysis
  • Contribute to proposals, protocols, data analysis plans, reports, manuscripts, and presentations of study findings
  • Assist in designing, developing, and conducting targeted training initiatives
  • Collaborate with external organizations to develop action plans and goals
  • Review and summarize literature, support Delphi processes, extract data on family caregivers, analyze completed scans, and recommend common measures
  • Perform related responsibilities as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree in Public Health, Master of Science degree in Public Health or Health Education, master's degree in Development Practice, OR a master's degree in another field and one year of public health experience
  • Quantitative and analytic skills, including survey programming and statistical analysis of large cohort study datasets
  • Experience with aging, caregiving, or elder abuse research
  • Strong scientific writing ability and ability to meet authorship thresholds for peer-reviewed publications
  • Experience coordinating multi-site or community-partnered research
  • Must reside in the state of Georgia
  • Must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based on business needs
