About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Source and identify resumes for high-volume, full life-cycle recruiting for staff vacancies across schools, divisions and affiliates
- Complete pre-employment processes, including reference checks, criminal background screening, employment validation, degree verification and health assessments, as required
- Ensure applicant referral pools include diverse candidates consistent with equal opportunity and affirmative action goals
- Compose employment advertisements and contact appropriate advertising sources
- Determine the most qualified applicants and refer them for interviews
- Recommend appropriate starting salaries for final candidates, as needed
- Review internal equity, professional tenure and market trends
- Participate in departmental process improvement efforts
- Maintain records and documentation for OFCCP and DOL EEO compliance
- Advise and enforce organizational policies and procedures, as needed
- Perform related responsibilities as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field
- Six months of work experience in an office environment, preferably within a staffing/recruiting agency or a human resources function, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to extract data from an applicant tracking system and manipulate it in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- All biweekly employees must reside within the State of Georgia
- Must be able to commute to an Emory University location as needed
