About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a mouse colony
  • Support setting up experiments for Postdoctoral Fellows, Advanced Researchers, and PIs
  • Perform defined research and laboratory tests and experiments according to prescribed protocols and assigned schedules
  • Set up experiments as prescribed by a principal investigator
  • Participate in laboratory maintenance, including sterilization and cleaning of equipment, ordering supplies, inventory, and media preparation
  • Maintain records, files, and logs in laboratory notebooks and computer databases
  • Compile data and record study results for publications, grants, and seminar presentations
  • Perform related responsibilities as required by the principal investigator

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
  • Experience managing a mouse colony is strongly preferred
  • Ability to work in a laboratory
  • Ability to work with animals
  • Ability to work with, take specific precautions against and/or be immunized against potentially hazardous agents
