Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform defined research and laboratory tests and experiments under general supervision
  • Set up experiments according to principal investigator instructions
  • Participate in laboratory maintenance, including sterilization, equipment cleaning, supply ordering, inventory, and media preparation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
  • Ability to perform laboratory research and tests according to prescribed protocols
  • Ability to work with potentially hazardous agents and follow required precautions
  • May be required to work with human blood, body fluids, tissues, infectious materials, and nonhuman primates or related materials
  • Position tasks are generally required to be performed in person at an Emory University location
